The Story

In 1923, Eileen Gray created a room set called the Bedroom-Boudoir for Monte-Carlo at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs. This room set featured the iconic Monte Carlo Sofa, which immediately stood out.

The Monte Carlo Sofa boasts a curved form that exudes elegance and comfort, Unusual lines in the backrest, making it truly one-of-a-kind, a frame crafted from polished chromium-plated tubular steel, and a fully upholstered seat and backrest, available in various fabric or leather colors.

Despite being neglected for much of her career, Eileen Gray is now celebrated as one of the most important furniture designers and architects.  Her voluptuous leather and tubular steel Bibendum Chair and the clinically chic E-1027 glass and tubular steel table are iconic examples of her work.  The Monte Carlo Sofa, with its allure and distinctive design, remains a prized piece in the history of 20th-century design.

Made in Italy.

Dimensions: H 23 3/4"  D 37 1/2"  W 110 1/4"

Materials: Tubular steel frame finished with polished chrome.  Seat upholstered with fabric or leather.
