The Kadrega Chair, designed by Huub Ubbens in 2008, is a masterful study in “complicated simplicity.” Its name—Kadrega, meaning “chair” in northern Italian dialect—reflects its humble yet distinctive character. Lightweight and stackable, the chair is crafted for everyday use while maintaining a timeless elegance. Its sculptural form evokes three-dimensional calligraphy, offering a graceful silhouette in slightly smaller proportions than standard chairs.

Constructed entirely from lacquered beechwood, the Kadrega Chair is versatile enough for both residential and contract settings. Its refined design and attention to detail make it a practical yet striking addition to any interior.

As Ubbens himself notes, “I’m interested in designing new furniture that others have forgotten to design in the past.” The Kadrega Chair embodies this philosophy, combining functional innovation with enduring style, proving that even the simplest forms can be profoundly inspiring.
