Michael Thonet No. 135 Bentwood Stool by Ton (Upholstered)

The Michael Thonet No. 135 Bentwood Stool is a design that has been used in kitchens, restaurants, and cafes around the world for decades.  Using multiple pieces of steam bentwood and historical manufacturing methods, TON's reproduction of the No. 135 bentwood stools are as beautiful now as they were over 100 years ago.

Through the years, many variations of the No. 135 Bentwood Stool have been made.  This particular model is made at one of Michael Thonet's original factories located in the Czech Republic.  The factory still exists over 150 years after its inception creating bentwood in classic as well as contemporary styles.

In 1862, the factory had an astonishing 800 workers producing 80,000 pieces of bentwood furniture each year.  The No. 14 Bentwood Chair was the largest fraction of the overall output.
